Day 61

I was beginning to wonder if I should be looking for
Pear Painters Anonymous to deal with my current pear obsession,
but then I was introduced to Pearathon.com by artist
Dana Cooper and all was well.

When you look at this, I rather hope you get the feeling
Sir Isaac Newton did when he developed the theory of
gravity from his observations of an apple falling from a
tree, only in my world it would be a pear.  Bottoms up...or
would it be Bottoms down?

Claire, I have to admit that I laughed when I first saw this image. Something about it...the way it is levitating in mid air...I could almost hear the choir of angels singing in the background. How many ways can you paint a pear? And you do it so well!

Claire, I thought "Last Bow" was it! However, you really managed to push the envelope. Great painting, great perspective, great title. I saw Dana Cooper's comment about the pearathon.com link, but I thought she was joking. Glad you pointed it out again, or I would have passed it by.

Oh dear, Claire! I think you are succumbing to "Pear Pressure". How is it this pear is not dwindling and wilting away? It must be those angels Julie mentioned keeping it preserved! This is a very unique position for a pear to be found in...bottoms up-lifted! :D

Your titles are so perfect. I have also enjoyed this series.

Thanks, everyone! Linda - the pear is still in wonderful shape, probably because I keep my studio on the cool side. I might get another painting out of it yet!
