Day 58
I've been looking at a pear tree that grows
across the street from my daughter's house, and
admiring the huge pears that grow on that tree.
Yesterday, after getting permission from the
neighbor, I walked over and picked a pear
that had leaves close to the stem.
It made quite a nice model to paint from, and
never tipped over even though it had quite
a lean!

Beautiful - quite realistic!
This pear seems perfectly balanced on the point of the leaf and the purplish gray background really sets it off. Lovely Claire!
The pear and leaves are beautifully rendered. The negative space in and around them is equally interesting and beautiful.
I love the balance of this piece. That delicate folded leaf resting on it's point reminds me of a ballet slipper.
Very nice!
I love to paint fruit and I love to see how other people interpret. Nice job Claire!
my favorite of your 100 daily paintings, Claire...I've been thinking about pears....now I'm thinking about your pears!
