I finally revisited the pastel I began on that blustery day at Hauser Estate Winery, Biglerville, Pa. This view shows the familiar Round Barn and surrounds. I used a paper I had not tried before: Pastello Tiziano in "flecked colours" by Fabriano, 11-3/4 x 16-1/2. The painting is done in a combination of Nu-Pastel and Rembrandt. Well, it turned out kind of primitive-looking - even for me - but somehow I still find it pleasing. Hopefully, my next attempt on this very nice paper will be under calmer circumstances! This is my favorite view of the Round Barn, and you have painted it beautifully Dianne.
Your pastel painting takes me on a wonderful trip down the hill, winding around the barn, up and down hills, all the way "back" to the mountains. What a great job capturing that distance--not easy to do.
