Puffy clouds and brisks winds make for a challenging plein air experience. The sun was bright, the shadows deep, and the sky and water were vivid blue at times. The wind kept moving those clouds, so the shadows and sunny areas kept changing. I tried to stick to the weather conditions present when we first arrived in the morning. Later the clouds increased and the lighting completely changed. Those of us[ there was a total of 12 ] who arrived early, I feel, got the most vibrant coloring and dramatic contrasts.

Great work Cecelia! I am so sorry I was late in getting there. By the time I arrived the sky was gray and the wind made it pretty difficult to paint. I can tell by your painting that i missed a perfect morning!

Beautiful Cecelia, It looks like a great spot and I really like the colors you've chosen. I miss out on so much not being able to get out and paint like many of you do.
