TINY TOADSTOOLS

Day 49

These little toadstools were hiding under the base
of the meadow sage. As the heat of the day increased,
the caps of the toadstools expanded. I just know that
there have to be some garden fairies hiding in there
somewhere...

Very cute little toadstools. Your application of color in the right places brings them to life and you captured the shadows in the meadow sage perfectly.

that could be a children's book illustration..
now you just need a story
something neat and tidy, surely
to accompany the charm
of your mushroom farm!

Claire - you're almost halfway through your 100 paintings. I applaud you for keeping up the challenge and you certainly have built a great collection of works! Such variety - like this little toadstool work. It must really make you see your backyard in a new way.

I just know one of those fairies was sitting on your shoulder when you were painting these little gems.
