Joe, both of these are really wonderful paintings. I especially like the first one though with the yellows in the foreground, and the airy purples, blues and greys that create a deep background.
Joe--I'm working on a field of yellow right now--mine is a summer painting though--the field is beautiful and eye-catching as is the tree with the sunlight hitting some of its leaves. The opposing diagonals of the tree in the 2nd painting are dynamic and add interest and some drama to this ordinarily serene setting.

I love the use of your magentas with the golden foreground. So soothing and inviting.
Pure gold!
Lovely work Joe. The second one looks like a perfect spot to fish for trout.
