Day 56

This is a small golden delicious apple from the dwarf
apple tree beside my vegetable garden.  Because I don't
spray, most of the apples feed the deer.
This one managed to keep a smooth skin, so I saved
it out to paint.

Claire-so many of your paintings move me and this one definitely does--the lighting, the perfect, gentle modeling and coloring of the apple, and table edge and lastly the calming coloring of the background--such a jewel!

Elegant and soft. I love the combination of the smooth, soft coloring of the apple and the hard edge of the table.
