Raspberries - Mark H Brown

Finished a small painting of Raspberries today.  It is a commission piece using the customers silver bowl.  I always enjoy the unexpected reflections that occur when mixing silver and fruit in a painting.  Reflections have been a consistent theme for my work over the years.  It never gets old.  I like using the cloth for both its beauty and ability to unify and pull the composition together.

I never was on Mount Gretna show yet, but heard a lot of good about it from my husband. We can try to be there on Sunday early afternoon, if weather will not be too nasty. Saturday is too busy and will not work out.

Exquisite composition- Lusious looking raspberries with beautiful reflections, elegant, satin cloth draped across a warm mahogany table--gleaming silver bowl--lucky customers.

I had a chance to check out your work in person, at the Mt Gretna Art Show. Absolutely gorgeous! Your work is stunning, so creamy and crisp detail at the same time. I look forward to following your classical painting.
