PEONIES ON THE WINDOW SILL AT NIGHT By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic on stretched canvas
12x16
These peonies are from our garden. They bloom fairly early in the summer and die too quickly. This year after I picked a bouquet, I decided to paint them. They last forever this way.

Beautiful painting. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers and yes, they die too quickly. I like the dark background..well done.!

This is lovely Cecelia! I too love the peonies and mine never last long enough (and are covered with ants!). You have captured their beauty to enjoy all year long.
