Ok, first, bear with me in my daily posting. I loved back in my art school days when there were people around and a spontaneous discussion in your studio was a daily event. So, my posts have made me feel like I am inviting peers into my studio for a look : )
Such a stifling hot day - helped me to push my light in an attempt to dissolve the forest - a shimmering immateriality. Getting closer to where I can begin to clarify the foreground - and exaggerate the contrasts of sharp versus soft focus.
This is a 24 X 36" stretched linen ... have not decided on a title (it was from a recent hot morning wander along the river.)
Thanks for indulging me with a "visit" - guess I should keep a pot of coffee brewing for guests.

I think I read somewhere in your blogs, that Gabriel is your grandfather. If I am correct, your grandfather's spirit is in every branch, blade of grass and in every tree you paint. I'm impressed and sure he's guiding you every step of your journey.

Yes - Gabe was my Italian grandfather (my profile pic is he and myself way back when cars had fins)
