Feeling energy today ... process on new paintings David Bottini (paintings 'for Gabriel)

Really feeling some good energy in the studio - cool overcast day is a nice change - makes being inside working so comfortable.

Moved back to a large painting from along the Susquehanna - a humid and brilliant July day - the intersection and abstracted pattern of the backlighted forest has me working to keep some loose and scumbled brishwork in-place. Making progress - one shot was this morning after a few hours (bottom) - other pic (top)is from 10 minutes ago - love when the cylinders are all firing : )

Hi David! I love your ability to portray detailed foliage and yet maintain good perspective, even without a man-made structure or some other obvious reference to scale in place.
Would you tell us the general size of your piece?
