Mt Gretna is considered a pretty hard show to exhibit in. Having to carry your work in, parking far away, hilly terrain, and then add rain to the mix...congrats for surviving! A huge THANK YOU for taking my paintings with you to the Harrisburg exhibit. I owe you one!
I am so glad that I took a chance on the weather and drove down to the show. It turned out to be a really nice day, and cool under the trees at Mt. Gretna. It was great to see you, Andy, and Mark, as well as all the other very talented and diverse artists in the show. You have inspired me, Linda, to hopefully display my work there someday.
Thank you Deb, Andy and Bertie. Andy, it was quite a difficult place to exhibit; but I learned a lot from just observing my fellow artist exhibitors. I'm thankful to have been in the emerging artist's area, we were at least high and dry when the rains came on Sunday. Some exhibitors had a stream of water running right through their exhibits and I felt bad for them. Waiting for the police to allow us through to load up Sunday when a spot opened wasn't so frustrating for me as for some others. They were just trying to do their job without getting anyone's vehicle damaged in all the hustle and bustle at the end of the day. Mt. Gretna is a tight quarters to exhibit; but a beautiful setting regardless and one worth the effort, I think. I hope to be able to do it again next year.
There is so much to see, I don't know how anyone can really see everything there is. I know I didn't. With the different musical groups playing, at one point the music was Caribbean. If I closed my eyes I could very well have been there. The selection of food vendors was excellent.

And we didn't go...unfortunately. Maybe another year. I still want to see it. Good to know, you had a great time!
