Baba's Buckets, Maria Kovalenko Leysens

This 7x10 inch Baba is done in pastels.
I enjoyed playing with the colors, so many to choose from.
The actual painting is much brighter.
I will, I promise, learn photoshop!

Such a pensive expression, and she is surrounded by such beautiful, ambient light. Gorgeous work, Maria - absolutely gorgeous.

A thought provoking painting of your Baba. Very lovingly done.

Maria, if you have a scanner, it works very well to scan this size painting and will probably give you pretty true to life color.

I love when you put Baba in your paintings. To see the peasant life etched in her face is just so warming. Another beautiful piece!

It's agreed, we all love the Baba Paintings!

Baba
what's in those buckets
you've carried through the years
...is it sunshine
and good times....
or are they filled with your tears?
