Photograph by Ed Jaworowski- renown Fly Fishing Edxpert & Instructor
from a fishing trip to Montana. He sent me this picture, due to the unusual
coloring found on the Westslope Cutthroat Trout found in the waters there.
The normal coloring is more red than orange, but both Ed and I agree
that this unusual orange coloring is more dramatic and beautiful!

I'd rather see your fish than Ed's...more life, less tragedy...
I remember the cutthroat very well from my living and fishing in Wyoming and it did have the orange red coloring; however, your painting is very well done depicting this unusual coloring. Good job.
I did not realize how many species of trout there were - this little guy is a real beauty!
Beautifully painted, as always, Thom.
Great post as usual Thom. My son caught rainbow, brown and brook trout this week. The biggest was 14".
