"Red Doors Along Russel Tavern Road" by Dianne Lorden

I thought I'd share my Barn Art submission from last spring. This lovely old brick barn really appealed to me, especially all those doors. Pastel, 9" x 12" - unframed price is $75.

I remember back in the '50's and '60's[ yes, I'm that old] when artists were made to feel dated and out of the mainstream[ non-representational art was being pushed by NYC art dealers],if they painted barns or anything representational. I loved barns then and I still do--their shape, color and what they "represent'. Your barn denotes all of that charm.

there's just something comforting about an 'elderly' barn..they all have a style and essence all their own and I bet they pack away a lot of wisdom under those sagging eaves...

I can see this painting hanging in someones country
kitchen. I did not think it was pastels until I looked closer. Great job!
