NUMBER 2 OF 10 - "Girl Talk" - Encaustic - Linda Benton McCloskey

Here's my 2nd painting (Girl Talk - 9 x 14) created as a demo during my lastest encaustic workshop. I usually don't sell my demo's since they are for demonstration purposes only, but this one and the one from yesterday I really liked. There is quite a bit of texture at the top, although encaustic pieces don't photograph well because the "lumps and bumps" don't show up.

Very moody piece. I love looking at the texture of encaustic artwork. Hope to see this in person sometime.

reminds me of a lava flow..or muscles trapped in rope and seaweed along a shore line or as I think of it right now.....the oil spill advancing toward our gulf shores- that could be your 'editorial piece'.....

This is definitely a piece I would like to see IRL, but would probably get in trouble because I would be so fascinated by the textures I would want to touch it :(
