Every morning I look out my kitchen window-there he is! This beautiful goldfinch has breakfast at my feeder at the same time I have breakfast. I had to paint him.

Beautiful, Charlotte - can't beat their summer colors. When the Canada thistle blooms behind the Eternal Peace Light on Oak Hill, I go just to see the goldfinches.
A tender painting, and I just love the one leaf.
I love these little guys, and I plant sunflowers, echinacea and black-eyed susans to keep them flying into my garden. This is a beauty, Charlotte.
