I painted this and realized that I had my values wrong...
so I used some titanium white washes
and brought it back to what I thought it should be.
I have done this before (on purpose) and really enjoyed the process and results.

I love the composition--the placement of the figures stops the strong diagonals from rushing off the picture plane--the large negative space is effective also.
