Sketches from Life, Amy Lindenberger

I was over at my oldest daughter's house yesterday. She has four beautiful living children, and since I began my art career as a portrait artist, one of the things I've done is to sketch each of them from life, within a month after each was born. The two older children, now 6 and 8, have had their sketches matted and framed for quite a while now. The two younger ones -- seen above, Ella and Daniel, now 4 and 2 -- had their sketches hastily slipped into a scrapbook until there was a little more time, in both of our schedules, for framing. While I was visiting yesterday, my daughter mentioned that she had just come across these two sketches and wondered if I might have time to frame them so she could hang them with the other two. Before I got involved in the framing process, I thought I'd share them with you.

Very sensitive and really sweet. I wish I had done something like that when my kids were tiny.

These are precious - and you have to catch them quickly because they grow up in seconds!
