Pansies by Linda Young

Memorial to flowers #4
Remembering those sweet little lilac pansies that sat in a pot beside my porch.  There are a few remaining in the pot and there's a good chance they'll come back this summer and look great.  The clematis, however, is looking pretty badly and hasn't faired so well after that storm; but I know after some time, will return too.

Pansies (and all their relatives) are just my favorite - I love this combination of green and violet.

Such gorgeous greens! I love the purple/green palette and the whole arrangement is exquisite!

Pansies are one of my favorites too, and you have painted these so beautifully. This is another flower which appears to be delicate because of its ruffled petals, but in fact they are quite hardy. I am sure they will come back and give you more blooms this summer!

Linda, a beautiful painting. I, too, love the green/purple palette. And, I sense a lot of movement.
