Old Timers, Maria Kovalenko Leysens

6x9 inch watercolor
It has been fun putting these past few paintings together
and they have been coming together so easily.
I guess because I love the subject matter.

Lovely, Maria. What others are saying, regarding the emotion of these pieces, is so true. Lots of affection in a tiny little painting! Just goes to show you don't have to work king-size to make a king-size statement.

There is an honesty to your work that I find so attractive. This is excellent.

I love this series of 'slice of life' portraits - they have such a touch of impressionism in the faces that makes me enjoy looking at them for a while.

Can't wait for the next one!!
