There's nothing like a comfortable, favorite pair of shoes/boots! This is a fantastic painting, Joe.
When I saw the image I thought, "old boots are like old friends." And then I read your title... perfect!
Great realism- you can almost smell them!
It just goes to show that good paintings are made, not found. So often people think you have to go to the grand canyon to make an awesome painting. I like that you showed us the everyday item can become an interesting subject.
