11" x 14"
Oil on canvas
This 11" x 14" oil painting on canvas was painted plein air at Hunter's Valley Winery in Liverpool, PA. It was early morning and the mist still lingered over the Susquehanna River. The painting turned out to be an honorary award winner at the member exhibit at the York Art Association in York, PA. Beautiful, Pat! I love the way the water peeks through the tree trunks.
No surprise that this won an award; it is so beautiful. I've always thought PA to be a beautiful state and you prove it with every one of your landscapes, Pat. Just wow!
I love the strong diagonals leading to the dark tree line with the water peeking through, then background hills echoing their own rhythms with the rhythm of the water. Plus the contrasting colors make this painting sing, Pat!
Pat, I can see why this won an honorary award. Just beautiful!
I love this piece, Pat! I'm a perspective gal. You've got linear and atmospheric going on here to perfection. One of my favorites of yours!
Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful comments.
