"Time on the Bench"Oil Painting by Charlotte Yealey

Let's forget about the snow for a while and think about warmer days. I painted this in 09 of my granddaughter when she started playing sports. She was not smiling when she realized she would not be on the field all the time. That's why I named it "Time on the Bench". This was much the feelings of my daughter when she was on the Freshmen softball team in high school. She also wasn't a starter. Very well done, Charlotte. This has to be a family treasure!

Beautiful work of art. We just registered for little league this week. Spring will be here soon!

This is a sweet painting. The fact that this is your granddaughter is even better. Love it!

Where's the animal? Great portrait. I especially like the face that your granddaughter is looking back and it is not a face on portrait. It gives much more life to your painting.

What a treasure, Charlotte...both the painting and your little leaguer!

Oh, I can read her feelings. She will truly appreciate this for many years.

Summer's favorite pastime...my daughter played softball and although she was a starter, I got to see expressions like this when she did have to spend any time on the bemch!
