Newport Vista
12 x 6
Acrylic on canvas

This 12" x 6" acrylic painting was done plein air in Newport, PA. It was done at a high elevation looking down onto the Newport Bridge. The day was sunny, the painting was "sweet". It is done on canvas and framed in a gold plein air frame. I love the rhythm of this work, Pat. I see trios of golds and greens..a trio of trees, a trio of fore, mid and background all complementing each other...I think it's a friendly painting!

This painting has a wonderful vantage point, Pat. I feel like I am right there on the top of that hill looking down at the river. Great painting!

Thanks, everyone.

Bertie, I never even noticed that. Your poetry helped you see that one.

Amy, I'm not a true colorist, but I do enjoy color.

Claire, it was up high. I never realized how difficult it was to paint that perspective.
