It was about 15 degrees when I did this painting last weekend. Although we got about 24 inches of fresh snow, this area of our yard was melted by a warm stream. The tree shadows made for an interesting design as they crossed the divide. It is 12 x 16 inches.

It is truly amazing when something so simple or non-interesting (in the eyes of a non-artist) turned into a beautiful painting. Congratulations, your effort turned out to be a triumph.
I love the abstract qualities of this - it is gorgeous!
Fantastic Ron! I love the colors and the compostition. My children also enjoyed it!
Wonderful Ron. I like the shapes and temperature of the painting.
You took shadows and made them alive. Simple, Stark and very beautiful.
Agree with Thom...a simple yet elegant painting,
Ron!... This picture is giving a hope - all that snow will be gone!.. someday :-)
Great painting!
I'm in love with this painting - the sunken stream, the shadows laying across the snow and stream and the perfect meandering curves as the stream goes into the distance. Not to mention the spot on values and temperature changes. You are a chapion of snow!
