What a great start, Ron! I love this street view, reminded of an old Tom Cruise and Lea Thompson movie, though the name escapes me for now. I think the one thing I love about PA is the wonderful diversity of homes, much like we have here in Illinois. The character of each home makes me long to walk down the sidewalk on this one!

Wow--Sunlight and cast shadows on modest homes-long shadows on roads going somewhere--some of my favorite subjects like those early works by Ed Hopper. Welcome to Dpp--I love this painting.

PS--Autumn--the movie you referenced is "All the Right Moves" about high school football and overly zealous coaching in western PA.

Thank you Cecelia; apparently my eye is better than I had thought. I hadn't realized that movie was set in western PA. No wonder I was reminded of it though! LOL

Welcome to DDP. Your initial offering is a excellent choice. Love the use of shadows to break the monotony of the asphalt street. The house colors add a festive feel to a typical town scene in PA. I look forward to your next painting.
