Spring Morning! an original oil painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

"I Love an Early Spring Morning!"
8" x 16"
Oil on stretched canvas
Detail...

I painted this in April and must have gotten side-tracked and forgot to post it. We were blessed with beautiful weather for April and the Red-winged blackbird was back at the pond. It made me so happy I had to paint something to express my joy!
 I hope you like it!

"Tranquility", an Original Oil Painting by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

"Tranquility"
10" x 20"
oil on stretched canvas

This scene is from a reference photo and a quick painting sketch I did last year on my winter RV trip. Biloxi MS is where my eldest daughter was born. I wanted to re-visit the beach I used walk to when she was a wee baby. As she loves water and beaches I painted this to hang in her coastal-color theme bedroom.

Thanks for looking! Comments welcome.

"By the Sea" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"By the Sea" 10"x15" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper
By the sea was inspired by a place in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina called Shem's Creek. Wonderful small inlet where fishing boats go in and out and the birds and dolphins as well as people just love it. What caught my eye was the bright building and the unusual blue sailboat and of coarse the pelican and seagulls!

grace by Kim Smith

Water is always a fun challenge. And shadows. The goose almost secondary, and simple in this painting. I took the photo that I worked from while on the Schuylkill River at the Dad Vail Regatta. The geese all seemed to barely notice all the hubbub of the regatta going on all around them. They certainly look peaceful and graceful.

"At the Beach" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"At the Beach" 12"x9" watercolor on 140lb paper

This is one of the first watercolor paintings that I painted. This was a scene from Myrtle Beach while we were on vacation many years ago when our son was very young and didn't want to leave the beach. It is painted from a photograph which I intended from the very start to develop into a painting. I was very happy with the results and cherish those memories every time I look at the painting.

"Letort Rushing" By Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Letort Rushing" 5.5"x8.5" on 140lb paper
This was painted plein air looking down on the rushing water of the Letort waterfall as it prepares to meet the Conodoguinet Creek. What a beautiful November day we had. Every plein air painting is a challenge for me . I liked all the activity going on and the calm pool near the rocks. I think I captured the rush!

Musically Inclined Series (Piano Strings) by Bertie Brown

Musically Inclined

13"w x 16 1/2"h

Dynamic Duo

That’s the name

The violin and piano

Were given in their fame

They play well together

Then each plays alone

One plucks and bows

The other strikes keys for tones

With fervent fingers flying

Over keyboard and bridge

The audience is left sighing

Applauding all that they did!
