There is still room in my classes... It is a very

Brass Class
Its a well known fact
That a trio of brass
Is hard to beat
In terms of class.
And favorite things
Are not much better
Not chocolate or cheese cake
Nor lobster or steak
Not mountains or beaches
Nor clear mountain lakes
Not cool drinks in summer
Nor hot drinks in winter
Not even sun-showers
That grow my sunflowers
The one thing that’s better
Than a classy Brass Trio
would certainly be
A Mozart Horn Solo...

Check my painting a day blog for more thoughts...
Barrier Islands
All bluster and bluff
With towering tides
Racing to shore
Always in a huff
Biting the beach
Advancing more and more....
The sighing sands
Surrender their turf
While tall dancing dunes
Watch over the surf
Their beach bonnets swaying
And “No Trespassing” signs waving.......

"Peonies", Oil Pastel WIP by Tatiana Myers.
11 X 14 " Ampersand Hardboard, Colourfix primer
Watercolor and Oil Pencils underpainting.
My latest Oil Pastel project. This will be a Demo pointing for Art and Soul Gallery, I'm going to do it this upcoming Friday, January 29 2010.
I will be working there approximately from 11:30 to 2:30.
The gallery address is 900 Market St., Lemoyne, PA 17043. Call 717-761-1270, or email artandsoul@pa.net for more information
My goal is to show Oil Pastel painting technique with concentration on Oil Pastel as medium only. So all preparation work had to be done at home, before demonstration.
I'm working on Ampersand Hard board with Art Spectrum Colourfix primer and underpainting is watercolor and Oil Pencils.
For finishing of this painting I'll be using full set of Holbein brand Oil Pastels.

Favorite Things
Molly and Ozzie and Sophie and me
Comfy and cozy
And ready to read
Satin hemmed blankets
Tugged up to our chins
These and much more are our favorite things...
Cabled wool sweaters
Are just right for me
Fleece is much better
For Sophie’s soft cheek
Long runs and brisk walks
Short stories and long talks
Warm milk for Sophie
And sweet tea for me....
Mozart and Beethoven
Bach and Bartok
Dancing and singing
To classics and pop
Playing the French Horn
I liked that a lot
These and much more
Are our favorite things.....
When cold winds blow
And the skies snow
And we get the blues
We pick up our brushes
Our paper and paints
And paint till those blues
We loose!

Let the pear and pomegranate
Promenade begin
Over Matisse inspired fabric
They all march in
Three Pears in a bowl
That’s my grandma’s, really old
The bottle behind
Dates back to an earlier time
The spoon in the foreground
Brings us right in
The stripes in the background
Keep our eye down
And all of these elements
Keep our eye traveling
Around and around.

11 x 14", Ampersand Pastel Board,
Oil Pastel. Framed.
Awakening was painted to become my show entry to Annual Oil Pastel Society 2009 web show "Transformation". Later I also entered this painting at annual juried regional show of York Art Association where this work got an Award of Excellence.
This painting is representing a rare natural phenomena (well, not so rare in Pennsylvania!) of freezing rain covering my favorite bush of climbing roses. For those of you, who wander, what happened to the rose bush - no, it wasn't hurt and still bringing me those pretty red flowers year after year.
