A SOLO Art Show

NEXGen Arts Festival By Sue Marrazzo

This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of being one of 5 judges for the NEXGen Arts Festival ( www.nexgenartsfestival.org ) in Harrisburg, PA. There was youth art categorized in 3 age groups. There were many mediums, and genres. I got to meet Susan Corbett, the current PA Govenor's wife. She is a supporter of the ARTS. I am always so inspired by the Young Artists.

 I got permission to share these with the DPP community.

ATC Exhibit and Swap by Sue Marrazzo

Here is one of my ATC entries for the upcoming 2nd Annual Artist Trading Card Exhibit and Swap at CALC, The Carlisle Arts Learning Center. This exhibit runs Sept. 13 - Oct. 12, 2013. The theme is HOME. This ATC was created on an ATC using a ticket stub, a dictionary page, tissue paper, hand made gesso paper, junk mail, and a design magazine ad. These are fun to create in my 

Creative Collage Class that I teach.

The photo could be better...

but the look is that it would be from a MODERN HOME.

Sandstorm by Artist Sue Marrazzo

This is a painting that I did for the current Highmark Corporate Exhibit. I have my art on exhibit there for the month of July and August. It's a very impressive space. This painting started out with a used canvas from one of my classes and I was determined to make it in to a work of ART that I would want to show in a public space. Sandstorm was painted with acrylic paint and mediums. The effect was a very textured Painting. I also have my bio hanging with my ART.

Prose & Poetry Exhibit

Here is the card for an ART Exhibit at the York Art Association. This is the last week of the show, if you can make it to YAA...Take a look.

 All entries are visual art inspired by the written word. 

I entered and abstract painting along with a poem written by my son.

 I loved his poem, and it really inspired me. 

This is a unique and creative idea for an ART Exhibit!

The Finishing Touches by Sue Marrazzo

This afternoon, I was putting some finishing touches on one of my new paintings for an ART exhibit that I will be hanging this week at Highmark Corporate Offices. Well, I had a little company in the studio...Boo Boo, my daughter's cat, loves to watch me draw, paint, drip, and create. He is so intrigued by ART and has been known to steal my brushes!!!! Well, he wanted my china marker; so he won and I got another. 

I finished this painting on the easel today. 

It's always fun having the cat in the studio!
