"Early Evening Waterfall" - by Rebecca Jennings (Sunny)

This painting was done as part of a course I am currently taking. I am planning on painting a larger, somewhat different version,
"Early Evening Waterfall
8" x 10"
Oil on canvas panel

Here is a quick sketch I did in preparation for the painting.
As you can see I added some shapes and changed some things around a bit in the painting.

Forest's Secret Beauty - Acrylic palette knife painting of waterfall by Pennsylvania Contemporary Artist Pat Koscienski

"Forest's Secret Beauty"
10" x 8"
Acrylic on canvas

This acrylic painting was done using a palette knife. I wanted to try to paint a little looser, thinking the palette knife would help me keep it more painterly. However, I now know I can get just as tight  using a palette knife as I can using a brush.  Applying  paint with the palette knife, does, however, help me get more paint on the canvas. I regret not using a thickening medium, since my acrylic paint can tend to get too fluid at times,  since I lay it out on moist paper towels. 2010 Landscape Study ~ Andy Smith, watercolors

6"x4" Miniature Watercolor ~ SOLD
This little jewel is from New England, I think
Maine. I like the composition and depth.
Several things to look at... a waterfall, bridge,
woods and a building.

Waterfall in Poe Valley by Jill Foster

9" x 12" pastel on Colourfix paper
While hiking in Poe Valley State Park, I came upon this showy waterfall near the back of the dam. The day was clear and bright and the water seemed to sparkle and dance its way down the rock face. All of my paintings on the blog are for sale. Contact me at: fosterfineart@verizon.net for prices/questions.
