Waterfall in Poe Valley by Jill Foster

9" x 12" pastel on Colourfix paper
While hiking in Poe Valley State Park, I came upon this showy waterfall near the back of the dam. The day was clear and bright and the water seemed to sparkle and dance its way down the rock face. All of my paintings on the blog are for sale. Contact me at: fosterfineart@verizon.net for prices/questions.

Very nice pastel.

Dancing and sparkling is what your water is doing. The rocks and folliage are also alive and beautiful.

Gorgeous trees and rocks! This is a perfect place to just sit and dream or sit and think. How can one not find their peace here?

Great texture in the foliage. Would love to go fishing right there by the rocks.

I love the overhanging foliage - your greens are magnificent.
