"Spring, Dark to Light" by Jack Bingham, Lititz, PA

"Spring, Dark to Light" is an unframed painting a day pastel on a 4 ply museum board panel with an approximate image size of 4" x 6". This pastel continues the study of spring related paintings I'm currently working on.

I like the transition of the greens. Reminds me of Wolf Kahns work! (which I happen to love)

You created so much action and interest, here. There are no uncomplicated subjects, are there? Very cool. Love the use of reddish tones in the depths.

Jack, I'm guessing you have taken workshops with Wolf Kahn? I attended a week with him about 10 or 15 years ago. He taught me that color was reason enough to create a painting. I had never thought of that before. Nice work!!
