The housing industry on the middle Atlantic seaboard in Florida has been experiencing depressing times, as are many areas in Florida. We saw construction halted on several large mansionlike homes like this one. Oh, to have the means to afford a home on a hill overlooking the ocean.

I so agree......what's the saying..."if you're lucky enough to have a water view, you're lucky enough".....I love this very understated work, esp. the overgrown weeds/foliage behind the house...............

I am with you on those thoughts, Cecelia. In fact, who needs a mansion? Just overlooking the ocean qualifies a shack as acceptable for me! This is beautiful; such a fabulous windswept feel to this piece...

Perfect painting-you really captured the mood. I feel the sand on my feet as I walk closer to this house.

You show such gentle movement in your grasses. Lovely.
