Red Carpet ~ Andy Smith, watercolor

4"x6" Original Watercolor ~ SOLD!
The red color in the carpet leads you down
the wallway. It is a great study in perspective
giving glimpses of a door, a light and sheers
blowing at the windows. I had a good time
painting this one.

I love this. It reminds me of the Victorian house we had in Pittsburgh.

It is the hallway of the Whitehall Inn in Camden Maine- just in case you did not know what you painted, Andy. That was an old Victorian Inn my wife and I used to stay in 2 to 3 times a year when we lived in New Hampshire.

So, Thank you Andy, for letting me enjoy a pleasant memory that you recreated, and let me view another wonderful watercolor. I agree- what a great study on perspective. You nailed it on this painting!
