This is the second of my sea series. I may do one more before starting another subject .The day I took these photos, I was struck at how blue the sand appeared with the sky color reflecting in the receding water. Of course the sky and its cloud formations are always a joy to paint.

It's just gorgeous, Cecelia. Makes me happy just to look at it. It's not easy to have one color family be so dominant and still have such life and interest in your composition. Great work!

I agree. Today I called a friend that offered me a place to stay near the ocean for a painting trade. This painting got me excited about the ocean! I just love the simple elegance and reserved use of color. Sometimes less is more.
