Some of you know already about my latest pastel I was trying to finishing after New Year.

This is my first Still Life ever.

This is terrific, Tatiana. I love the way you painted the cut-work linen, and your glass is wonderful!

Intricate detail. Yes, the linen is nicely done.

This came out beautifully, Tatiana! Your choice of frame is gorgeous to both punch the black and bring the subject into focus. I am awed by the stitching detail in the doily/runner!

Can't wait to see this at Gallerie 13 in February. I love the entire painting, but the close up of the linen...it is like I can reach out and touch it.

All, right... I'm falling behind with comments, it is for sure! :-)
Thank you, ladies! One big thank you to everyone!
Now... Autumn, yes, I'm very happy with frame, trust me, I spend a lot of time to make a right choice what wouldn't brake the bank... This is from online custom shop. I'm more then happy with their job, quality is way superior to most of frames I have here... And they shipped it fast too. I'll be keeping them in mind for more future projects...
Mary Beth, I think you will like it even better "in person". Painting is good, frame is great, but also I used my best glass for this one... It gives a total 3D effect to whole thing thing. Picture on the top (framed version)is taken WITH the glass in. I never do it, when I
photograph framed works to avoid reflections. Museum glass is practically invisible even for camera. I had some of my miniatures under museum glass, but this is a first time when I'm using it for bigger work. It is super, I love it, it makes everything look so much better...But well, you will see it next month anyway. :-)

A very pretty piece, Tatiana. Knowing how much of a struggle it can be, to get the ellipses done properly on a cylinder, I'd say you handled it beautifully! Really a lot of nice warmth here -- and couldn't we all use that, right now?

Thank You, Amy!
It was all one big straggle, but I was stabborn enough to finish it. Still can't belive I did it. In old times someting like then will end a trash can at the same evening it was started. I didn't have much patience then... :-)
