York Street Gettysburg PA by Mary Beth Brath

York Street Gettysburg PA
Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 11" x 14"
$190

I painted this plein air in Historic Gettysburg during the summer of 2009. Some minor adjustments were made in my studio. Gettysburg has a gorgeous town square and loads of fantastic shops lining the streets in every direction out from the square. The whole town is a must see. The streetscape shown in this post is a building on York Street (Route 30).

I like the cropping. I have a hard time editing when I paint plein air. Nice job.

Thanks everyone. When I do streetscapes, I like to keep it as authentic as possible. It is capturing a piece of history. Sometime soon I will journey back to my hometown of Greenville PA. to do plein air work. I would love to record various locations that have deep meaning to my childhood.
