"Autumn In the Pond" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Autumn in the Pond" 8.5"x12" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

This is just finished. This is a resident of the Kings Gap State park pond. Capturing the lily pad as it has finished for the season and the textures and colors were great. I always say stop and really look at what is around you. You will be surprised at what you've been missing!

Water Lily - Black Moshannon #2 by Jill Foster

12" x 16" soft pastel on Rtstx board
One summer I had the opportunity to take some amazing photographs of the water lilies in bloom at Black Moshannon State Park. I decided to paint a series of them. I find the shapes of the flowers extremely interesting and even though their design looks simple, they are challenging to paint.

Water lily in miniature by Jill Foster

6" x 4" pastel on Rtistx board

While visiting Longwood Gardens a friend took a photo of this water lily, in bud but ready to bloom. The shadows in the atrium gave it a dark beauty. He graciously gave me permission to use his photo for this painting. All of my paintings on the blog are for sale. Contact me at: fosterfineart@verizon.net for prices/questions.
