This is my eigth entry for Leslie Saeta's 'Thirty Paintings in
Thirty Days Challenge 2015'.  For this challenge, I have
decided to do thirty small studies from my trip last September
to Martha's Vineyard.  My hope is that some of these studies
will be worked into larger paintings.

Many years ago, when I was a little girl, my father
would tell me that I was his little angel and that he had
to pluck my wings so that I wouldn't fly away.  He would
reach behind my back and gently pinch my 'wing bones',
and when he pulled his hand back there would be
tiny feathers between his fingers.  It wasn't until I was
much older that I found out that they were feathers
from my mother's canaries.    These cloud formations
always make me think of angel wings...and my father.
