Hemlock Valley Original Plein Air Painting by Mary Beth Brath - Daily Painter of Pennsylvania

Hemlock Valley Plein Air by Mary Beth Brath
10x8" Acrylic on Masonite

Last week was full of painting and family fun. Northwestern PA is such a joy. I rode my bike packed with plein air supplies down a dirt road and set up on one of my favorite bridges. I used to swim in this creek as a child.

I have not done landscapes for a long time. I few years ago I painted this scene from a photograph while working at Gallerie 13. This one is full of expression and I am pleased.

I also love that freedom of pedaling to a plein air site...total joy!
