Finding me Walking in a Winter Wonderland, by Linda Young

copyright 2013 Linda Young  5" x 7"watercolor
As we near the end of 2013, with the coming of the New Year just two days away;  I want to wish you a very Happy and Healthy 2014.  Here is a small painting of a snowy mountain range I used to live near and an imagined place of worship where people make a path on their way to worship.  Perhaps they are on the way to sing praises and give thanks for the many blessings that are all around us-- if some people would only just "see".

This one is titled "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" and once it is framed, will be going to Brath and Hughes Gallery in Mechanicsburg along with other new works.   I've been to the Rocky Mountains and they left a deep impression on me for over 30 years.  I remember the snow falling so softly onto the ground and the silence and still calm nights were wondrous.  The moonlight reflected a glorious silver blue onto the newly fallen snow.  I can still "feel" the peace of that time.

I am thankful!  The Creator sure knew how to show me what beauty is all about and has blessed me with a bit of artistic talent to share it through watercolor paintings with the world.

No matter what you believe or how you express yourself...Have a Happy Painting New Year and may God's love surround you now and forever.

Sincerely,
Linda Young
