Thank You, Sue and Cecelia!
Cecelia, I'm working on sanded paper mounted to heavy board. First stages are - pastel pencil (but could be stick of hard pastel instead), then I wash it with brush and organic solvent and we have something similar to monochromatic value map in watercolor. The Just finishing with softer pastel sticks. As most of my paintings - this is multi-layered process. I'm glad You enjoyd it.
