WILDWOOD FALL GRASSES By Cecelia Lyden

I got up and out early last Saturday morning, so I could get in a last plein air session with other members of Paul Gallo's class, before SVPAP's luncheon and meeting that afternoon. I'm so glad I made the effort. The morning weather was perfect and although the trees were mostly bare, there was enough interesting color and contrasts in the grasses, water and sky. The tree, that I was unable to work into the composition cast a shadow on the water. So I included it the painting in that way.

Beautiful, Cecelia. I love the contrast of the warm grasses and cool of the water.
