"Pelican" by Debra Tritt Kreiger



 I met this fellow while on vacation in South Carolina. They are fascinating creatures. He sat very still and I was able to observe a lot of the details and coloring of this bird. Even though I believe he/she was an older bird it was still very beautiful. Another reason to preserve the wetlands where these birds nest.

This is a great painting. I have a photo of a pelican from Florida but is not as colorful as this one. You really captured him.
