"Harrison Wright" by Michael LeKites

I've begun working on my second waterfall in this series. I'm going to keep this acrylic. I needed something to work on while I wait for the oil to dry on the other one I recently posted. This is 12x16.

This is actually the second time I've painted this fall. I first painted it around 96 or 97. That painting won Best of Show in a local regional exhibit and was bought by someone attending the show. . I am showing images of both paintings here. The first painting was also much larger. Somewhere around 24x28 or so. The water level was low at the time due to a drought.  All of these falls are from Rickett's Glen State park. I think they have around 27 falls. It's a great hike and not for the faint of heart. Parts of the trail can be very dangerous and at least a few people have died on the trail.

Gorgeous, Michael-I love the glints of bright blue at top and throughout the falls.
