grace by Kim Smith

Water is always a fun challenge. And shadows. The goose almost secondary, and simple in this painting. I took the photo that I worked from while on the Schuylkill River at the Dad Vail Regatta. The geese all seemed to barely notice all the hubbub of the regatta going on all around them. They certainly look peaceful and graceful.

A fabulous rendering of ripples on the water- goose's reflection and the goose-stunning painting--what is its size?

This is really lovely. The movement of the water seems to push the goose right toward the viewer in a most inviting way!

Nice, strong, rich colors in the water, Kim. Beautifully painted.

I apologize, I didn't even see all these wonderful comments! What a positive lift for my day :).
Cecelia, the painting is 4"x4". A tiny one. Here is the link to my website: http://kimmyerssmith.com/?p=1521.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wish I was painting right now!
