Hello all - my it's been some time for me to post. But, I've begun working again - so far in pastels (as with this small piece above, which I took pleasure in preparing for the Brath & Hughes Gallery foody exhibit) and water colors. Also, I have begun buying oil paints: it's been scads of years since I've painted in oils, so I'm looking forward to that. No doubt at all that I'll be learning all over again, as I work to complete two long-unfinished paintings. That's how I'll ease my way back in.
As for Baking Day (shown above), I have a love-and-avoidance relationship with breads. Thought indulging in a little painting would have fewer carbs than eating them! I put this together from various old sources, using my own table cloth, butter set-up, basket, and (most especially) the platter on the right, which is a family heirloom. It was given to my mom as a wedding gift.
My artwork and blog are at South Mountain Sketchbook
