PALM ON THE CANAL By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic
11x14

Another beautiful day at the Savannas Recreational Park. This was our 3rd trip to this peaceful haven. I haven't seen any alligators yet [thank Heavens], but many different varieties of birds have appeared and up close , too.here are also many varieties of palm trees located here. As far as this painting is concerned, I can't quite get the intensity of the natural colors right. The sky shouhd be much lighter, but lowering its intensity or its color saturation level, washes out the colors of the grasses, water and palm tree. Though the image does appear to look washed out in this post. I'll work on it a little more later.

You have too much fun down there, Cecelia! And it shows in Your paintings.

I agree with Tatiana; you sure are having so much fun painting in all that sunny weather! Love your Florida paintings; so different from what we are painting in PA.

Beautiful scene, Cecelia. I love those reflections in the foreground, and the whole tropical feel of the painting. Thanks for sending us some of your Florida 'warmth'!
