A Plein Air Painting by Rebecca Jennings

"Last of the Hay Harvest"
8 x 16
Oil on prepared luan
Finished on site

This is a field across from where my son lives. I was intrigued by the contrast of the even flow of the
still-green grass against the early fall colors in the brush and goldenrod in the farther fields. This was done as a study and I may do a larger version.

I often see these hay bales and think, "What a nice Painting that would make!" And you did a fine job with this subject..LOVELY!

This has such a pleasing feel to it, and the colors are warm and very evocative of fall. I really like this painting.

I love summer...but your view of autumn could persuade me to enjoy the fall a bit more.....if we could only skip the COLD temps and length of winter...
